    LEXINGTON, Mass. -- As part of the Patrick-Murray Administration's commitment to clean energy, Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Richard K. Sullivan Jr. took the Commonwealth's clean energy revolution to Lexington's Battle Green to announce the award of 105 electric vehicle charging stations for 25 cities and towns across the state.

    HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Hawaii Lt. Governor Brian Schatz announced that AeroVironment has been selected to help lead the way to a cleaner transportation future through an $820,000 contract from the Hawaii EV Ready Grants Program. The contract will fund the deployment of up to 320 AeroVironment 240-volt Electric Vehicle charging docks throughout the islands. Once deployment is completed, Hawaii will have one of the nation's first statewide public charging networks supporting electric vehicle drivers.

    MCKINNEY, Texas -- AeroVironment, Inc. announced that it has been selected by TXU Energy to deploy electric vehicle charging stations to support a public charging network in the Dallas Metroplex area beginning with a historic installation in the city of McKinney. TXU Energy CEO Jim Burke and the mayor of McKinney, Brian Loughmiller announced the new charging network at an event in front of the McKinney Public Library where the first of four charging stations was installed.

    DALLAS, Texas -- AeroVironment, Inc. announced that it has joined forces with NRG Energy, Inc. to expand the privately funded, comprehensive eVgosm electric vehicle charging "ecosystem" to EV drivers in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, the fourth-largest metropolitan area by population in America. The ecosystem is an integrated network of charging products, services and payment plans that helps make EVs practical for drivers. NRG selected AeroVironment to provide home and public charging systems, installation services, energy usage monitoring and payment and subscription solutions in support of the Houston and DFW ecosystems. The companies plan to inaugurate the DFW expansion at a ribbon-cutting event in Dallas hosted by NRG's president and CEO David Crane and featuring AeroVironment's chairman and CEO Tim Conver.

UL is one of the most widely recognized independent product safety certification organizations in the world.

    MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Leviton announced the launch of its Level 2 charging station. Designed, tested and assembled in the United States, the next generation Leviton charging station is able to provide 9.6 kW output, and will charge the Toyota RAV4 EV in approximately six hours. It also includes a 25-foot charging cable which offers flexibility in the mounting location.

    BOSTON -- The city of Boston has been granted 22 free dual electric vehicle charging stations today by the Green Communities Division of the state's Department of Energy Resources. The grant includes $1,000 per station for installation.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Electric vehicle drivers will be able to "fill-up" on voltage from city-owned parking spots after five charges stations are installed downtown, following the city commission's approval of their acquisition and installation costs. The $5,000-per unit charging stations are coming free from Coulomb Technologies Inc., a California-based company that won a $15 million federal grant to install 4,800 charging stations throughout the United States.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that $4.4 million has been awarded to ten companies, municipalities and other entities to enable more than 325 new electric-vehicle charging stations to be installed across New York State. New York State's electric-vehicle charging stations are supported by a joint effort by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Demonstration Program and the U.S. Department of Energy.

    SEATTLE -- Mayor Mike McGinn introduced the latest additions to the city of Seattle's fleet, five Nissan Leaf electric vehicles. When Mayor McGinn launched his Seattle Jobs Plan in 2010, his two goals were to create a sustainable economy and share prosperity for all. By the end of 2012, a total of 35 Nissan Leafs will be added to the city fleet. The addition of the Leafs and installation of charging infrastructure around the city illustrates progress on both the sustainability and job creation aspects of the plan.

The Standardization Roadmap assesses the standards, codes, and regulations, as well as conformance and training programs, needed to facilitate the safe, mass deployment of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure in the United States.
