BUFFALO, Wyo. -- The Bureau of Land Management Buffalo Field Office is seeking public comments on the Weston Hills Travel and Transportation Management Plan and Environmental Assessment.
The EA analyzes the environmental impacts of implementing recreation and travel management decisions on approximately 9,500 acres of BLM-administered surface at the Weston Hills management area in northern Campbell County, Wyo. near the city of Gillette.
The alternatives would affect existing off-highway vehicle designations and recreation management decisions on public lands within Weston Hills. The BLM will decide which existing routes at Weston Hills to designate for public recreational use, whether or not to provide additional associated infrastructure for recreational users, and if so, under what terms and conditions.
