SYOSEET, N.Y. -- Emerald Brand and Valley Health System recently announced its strategic sustainable partnership due to the increased demand in assistance for simple sustainable solutions within facility environments.

"Over the past several years Valley Health System has committed to 'going green' and taken many steps to reduce our footprint and help sustain the health of the community, and using these sustainable and eco-friendly paper products is just one of the ways that we can accomplish that goal," said Howard Halverson, Director of Environmental Services, Valley Health System.

Together, Valley Health System and Emerald will continue to exceed modern sustainable business practices by utilizing Emerald’s sustainable and eco-friendly products supplied through the Emerald Sustainability Program. This partnership will continue to help enhance Valley Health’s corporate social responsibility goals, as they strive to achieve a total sustainable solution for their business and hospital.

"Valley Health’s dedication to environmental initiatives is remarkable, and we are always honored to help facilities convert to a total environmental solution," said Ralph Bianculli Jr., Managing Director of Emerald Brand. "Their leadership in driving positive and sustainable change throughout the health system illustrates a strong and long term commitment to the environment."

The Emerald Sustainability Program offers products that are manufactured using sustainable, rapidly renewable alternative materials including, sugarcane bagasse, bamboo, plant starch and eucalyptus instead of hardwood trees and petroleum-based plastics. A staple of the brand is its line of Tree-Free towel and tissue products that are also BPA free, chlorine free and USDA Bio-Preferred.
