CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Over the past decade, power management company Eaton has worked closely with other industry leaders and regulatory agencies to ensure that emissions regulations are quantifiable and precise, and to establish one national standard that provides long-term regulatory stability and technology leadership for the industry.

Eaton is joining with industry leaders and top U.S. officials in support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Cleaner Trucks Initiative, which will establish updated emission standards for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles through open and collaborative discussion among stakeholders.

"We are encouraged by today’s announcement, which is a next step towards establishing long-term national goals and regulatory certainty," said Mihai Dorobantu, director, Technology Planning and Government Affairs, Eaton’s Vehicle Group. "We are looking forward to working with our OEM customers, industry partners, the EPA and other stakeholders to provide the market with clean and fuel-efficient technology options."

Eaton is a leader in the development of solutions that help our customers comply with global emission regulations.

"Our engine air management product portfolio includes variable valve actuation to enhance aftertreatment control and TVS air management solutions that provide precise air control for clean and efficient combustion," said Dorobantu. "For zero-emission vehicles, our eMobility product line features multi-speed transmissions and high-voltage power electronics and distribution units."
