This free one-hour webinar features Jerry Tinianow, chief sustainability officer for the City of Denver, Colo., and members of his staff, who describe the challenges in taking a city’s sustainability efforts to scale, and what the City of Denver is doing to meet those challenges.

Recorded Jan. 15, 2015, it is available for download at this link.

Under first-term Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Denver has taken its sustainability efforts to the next level. Mayor Hancock gave his newly-created Office of Sustainability a four-word agenda: Scale, and Everybody Plays. Scale, as in "we need to move our sustainability indicators in a big way." Everybody Plays, as in "sustainability has to be the basic operating mode of every city department, no matter what its function is."

Tinianow and key staff members will discuss the challenges in taking a city's sustainability efforts to scale with everybody playing, and what they are doing to meet those challenges. Hear about how to get agency personnel out of silos, thinking big, and taking ownership of ambitious goals.

Sponsored by Crescent Electric Supply Co., the download includes a video recording (MP4) and the presentation slides (PDF).
