Sustainable City Network hosted this free 1-hour webinar in April 2018, featuring the sustainability leadership of Salt Lake City, Utah.
This webinar features Salt Lake City's Sustainability Division Director Debbie Lyons and Sustainability Program Manager Tyler Poulson, who describe how the city’s approach to sustainability issues has evolved over time and how local leaders are now focused on driving solutions and reducing emissions at scale.
Salt Lake City temperatures are rising at twice the global average in recent decades, accelerating the urgency to “move the needle” on emissions and create replicable pathways for others. The city has a partnership with its investor-owned utility to achieve net-100 percent renewable electricity for the community by 2032 while on its way to an 80 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2040. Download it now to learn how they are doing it.
The download includes the recorded webinar (MP4) and the presentation slides (PDF).
